Prerequisites: Must be eligible to take the written test in Ontario.
Program Information: This is an interaction-based course. The focus of this experiential-stream course is to develop knowledge and practical skills for the G1 written test.
Course Description: [1.00 experiential credits] This course covers the topics in being a safe driver in Ontario from pre-trip to driving along to the legislative requirements. Being a responsible driver not only keeps others safe but also protects oneself in unpredictable situations. Learning material will be from the Official Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Driver’s Handbook.
Evaluating Progress: Interactive activities will guide the course. Questions and discussions are encouraged throughout the assessments. Deliverables range from low-stakes blended activities to practical driving for skills development. Students must pass the MTO Written Test component to pass the course.
